This package is built for mountain climbing lovers who want to summit Ecuador’s highest peaks. This starts with an acclimatization trek before tackling the 3 major mountains of Ecuador – Mt Cayambe, Mt Cotopaxi, Mt. Chimborazo.

This package consists of 4 summits

  1. Ilinizas Acclimatization trek 1-day summit starting from Quito
  2. Climbing Cayambe: the name of a volcano located in the Cordillera Central, a range of the Ecuadorian Andes.
  3. Climbing Cotopaxi: Mount Cotopaxi in the Cotopaxi National Park is Ecuador’s second-largest mountain with 5,897m (19,347ft). Summit makes it one of the largest active volcanoes in the world.
  4. Climbing Chimborazo: This is the largest mountain in Ecuador and its 6’310 meters (20,565 ft) equatorial summit is the closest point to the sun on earth.

 

Acclimatization for ChimborazoMountain Climbing Ecuador Mountain Refuge:

We start with Ilinizas  Cayambe refuge, and Jose Rivas Refuge for Cotopaxi.  The Chimborazo climb starts from Carrel refuge, unfortunately, Whymper refuge is not available due to a lease to a private company that has closed it to the public, Carrell refuge is open for Chimborazo summit attempts

    10. Day10 Chimborazo

      At 1 pm we start the drive for Chimborazo mountian, after checking gear and suplies, inthe entrance to the national park we register the group and continue to carrel refuge. once there we wait for 5 pm dinner, and then rest unitl 10 pm. Group gets ready and starts climbing by 11 pm

    11. Day11 Chimborazo

      Summit is expected by 6-8 am, 8 been the latest, then we return to refuge for breakfast, and return to Riobamba at the end.

    12. Day1 Carihuairazo

      Transfer from Riobamba to Carihuairazo refuge. Lunch and short trek in the afternoon 5 pm Dinner

    13. Day2 Carihuairazo

      3 am start the trek to Carihuairazo base, and summit by 6-8 am Return to refuge Brekfast and return to Riobamba
